Exciting Additions Coming To DAA!

A New Middle School Block is coming to DAA

GEMS Dubai American Academy (DAA), recently acclaimed as the ‘Best American Curriculum School in the UAE’ at the Top Schools Awards 2023, is set for remarkable campus additions. The plan involves a new student wellbeing center, middle school building for Academic Year 24/25, upgraded sports facilities, improved student canteen, and sustainable additions to the already cutting-edge campus.

Inspired by future-focused learning

Dr. Ethan Hildreth, Superintendent/CEO, GEMS Dubai American Academy, remarked on the project's vision and its significant impact. The campus will facilitate advanced learning, incorporating spaces designed by educators for optimal student growth, reflecting DAA’s commitment to progressive education.

Recent upgrades at DAA include new Elementary play areas, an expanded canteen, and additional learning zones such as an Elementary School Maker Space. The next milestone is the ‘WISE Center for Wellbeing,’ boasting a modern indoor amphitheater and comprehensive student support. An upcoming highlight is the 25th-anniversary 'time capsule' ceremony.

Further enhancements encompass a revamped dining area featuring climate-controlled seating and an advanced kitchen for diverse meal options. The purpose-built Middle School block will be opening in August for the 24/25 Academic Year, offering specialized teaching spaces, common rooms, and sports facilities.

These developments aim to bolster DAA's outstanding learning environment, ensuring students thrive with exemplary education and state-of-the-art facilities. The legacy of excellence at DAA remains unwavering.

The impact

“The Green power experience was amazing from start to finish. We started building the car back in October and it has been amazing to see how much progress has been made and how our car has transformed to a race winner. We are excited to come back next year with an even faster car,” said Fadi Kazk of The Leopards team.

“Overall, building the car was a very valuable experience due to the personal experience with electrical engineering and all the nuances needed in construction. Additionally, plenty of experience was gained in terms of strategy during the actual race and coming up with a gameplan,” said fellow teammate Julian Decrauzat.

We are very excited to announce upcoming enhancements to our already state-of-the-art campus, including a new student wellbeing center, a new middle school building, increased sports facilities, an enhanced student canteen, and new sustainability elements. With these additions, the campus will continue to facilitate advanced learning, incorporating spaces designed by educators for optimal student growth, reflecting DAA’s commitment to progressive education.
